Tsubomi Yamamoto

Born in Atsugi City in 1930.

While attending Atsugi Higashi High School, he became acquainted with the Reverend Jotaro Yahata and participated as a doujin from the first issue of ``Aoshiba'' in 1951. Received the 5th Aoshiba Award. In 1997, he headed the founding of ``Afurine''. Received the 11th Yokohama Haiwa Society Grand Prize for his haiku collection "Yichi." Erected a monument with a haiku at Aoyagi-ji Temple (Yochi-Ikuno Harokeshi Sunset Clouds 2017).

Currently a member of the Japan Writers Association. Member of the Haiku Poetry Association. Advisor to Yokohama Haiwa Society.

He is the director of the haiku magazine ``Afurine''.
